New beginners can join in on the first training of each month, and the first four sessions are free. Training Costs Annual membership of ITFNZ is required which initially costs $30 for an individual or $50 for a family in the first year, and then reduces to $20 for an individual or $40 for a family. The Khandallah School is a self-funding, non-profit organization and it relies on monthly training fees to pay for hall hire, buy new equipment etc. The monthly training fees are $25/month for 1 person, $40/month for 2 from same family, and $50/month for 3. As you progress in your training and gain the next rank and belt you will sit a grading by a national examiner, which assesses your proficiency in Taekwon-Do, knowledge of theory and etiquette, and attendance at classes. These gradings cost $40 for 1 person, $70 for 2 people from a family and $80 for 3 or more from a family. A dobok (the white training uniform) costs between $85 - $110 depending upon size. A major bonus of joining an ITFNZ School is that membership allows you to train at any other School around the mountry for free (see the Regional or National site link for details of other Schools) which effectively means you can train every night of the week, if you so desire! Before training elsewhere it is courteous check with both your Instructor and the Instructor of the School you intend visiting. |
